These Web pages deal with my main research interest at present: "The implication of the NO/cGMP signaling system on the myocardial injury after ischemia and reperfusion" (primordially infarct size). You will find here information about this research, personal data, and many links to related Web sites.

Since 1997 I am leading this research project (NO/cGMP in Myocardial Infarction) within the Laboratory of Experimental Cardiology in Hospital Vall d'Hebron (Barcelona, Spain) under the direction of Dr. David Garcia-Dorado. Of course, many other people in the lab have worked in the project. I am specially indepted to Noelia Escalona that have done most of the experiments during the last 3 years. I should also mention Javier Inserte, expert in the isolated rat model; Ferran Padilla, expert in the in situ pig model (Good luck in his new job!); and Marisol Ruiz-Meana, expert in the measurements of ionic fluxes.
